The Catherine Wheel, Henley-On-Thames

It is JD Wetherspoon so if you like cheap (awful tasting food) and cheap beer then you will be happy. The best thing about this pub is the building.

The Queens Head, Henley-On-Thames

This place is now the Idle hour and it is a great place to have a local pint to chill read the papers on one the leather sofas.

Food is quite organic and the owner has 2 other pubs in South West London, so as you can imagine it has wood floors, leather seats etc. Not a bad little place deffo worth a stop when you are in Henley.

Serves Organic brakespear ale

The Stag and Huntsman, Hambleden

If you took this pub and put it in any other location it would be closed in 12 months.

Hambleden village is beautiful like something from Miss Marple or Foyles War, but the pub lets it down.

Inside it is a mish mash of charachter, the menu is weak, and decor something akin to a B&B in Blackpool.

I live in Henley have been a couple of times and would say there are far better pubs than this in the area.

The Bird In Hand, Henley-On-Thames

I live in Henley and this is one of my favourite pubs I have ever been to.

I am not a local to the pub in that they know my name.

For me it is a great place to go for a quiet pint with a couple of mates to sit chat maybe be watch the football on the telly and drink some great local beers.

There is no loud blaring music music just the quiet chatter of voices.

It is a little shabby but that is part of its charm. It won't be for everyone - I never take the wife for a drink here as she doesn't appreciate its charm.

The Three Horseshoes, Marlow

I had heard it was meant to be good and as I drive past it 2/3 times a week we gave it ago.

Previous reviewers are right there are very few veggie dishes. I found the menu a meat fest it was either sizzling rack of ribs, cajun chicken, fajitas etc, not the food I expected.

I had the steak it was cooked as I requested, and service was fine. And the Rebellion Mld was first class.

Would i go back? - No, the pub is a little cavernous, and there is a fog from all the sizzlers they serve.

If they change the menu then i may consider it
