The Watermill Inn, Ings

A fantastic selection of beers (inc their own micro brewery)which are really well kept. Food isn't anything too exotic but is really tasty & at a very reasonable price. The mill itself is set in a quiet village location has bags of character & the staff a very friendly, a regular stop off for us and well worth a visit.

Church Inn, Chelmorton

Lovely location & really friendly welcome. The pub is situated on a hill in a quiet village location. There is a wide selection of well kept beers & the food is really good at a bargain price. A charming spot & well worth a visit.

The Assheton Arms, Downham

Lovely village location & the bar staff were friendly but.... from the outside you would think the place has real atmosphere but the inside is one big diner, ok fair enough, in that case you would think the food would be good..not really I'm afraid, the bog standard pub fodder, burger & chips etc was 9 a head & while edible it would compare with the stuff you get from one of those vans at the side of a dual carriageway! Very overpriced and totally lacking in charm, a shame as the location is quite special.
