The Cyder House Inn, Shackleford

what a shame this site is losing its credibility by allowing it to be hi-jacked by people who have obviously got a hidden agenda when it comes to the cyder house inn at shackleford.perhaps they would like to consider that not everyone wants a spit and sawdust local village pub.the village that i live in ,lost its pub a few years ago.in this case the landlord thought the locals owed him a living and lost sight of the basic economics of any business;supply and demand.i stand by my original review suffice to say i enjoyed my lunch at the cyder inn and will return sometime when i next visit this area.i am definately not connected to anyone at this place.i note my last comments have been deleted perhaps it was because of the use of the word -maturity.this is my last word on this matter and hope that all the cynical comments that have been posted as a result of my first review as seen in that light.

i note beersupper has made a comment about the review that i am fully entitled to make and that i stand by.i travelled a fair distance to eat at the cyder inn and along with my wife and twentyone year old son thoroughly enjoyed the experience.incidentally my son who has recently graduated has worked at many gasto-pubs to supplement his student income, his current employer is one of the winners of the great british menu and recently cooked at the gerkhin as seen on the bbc.we are not linked to the management of the cyder house inn and are not involved in local politics so i resent that my review has been interpreted in this manner.we dine out regularly and i feel i have as much right as anyone to post my comments as we feel reasonably well informed about the merits of a good pub and certainly about the welcoming nature of any of the places that i visit.i look forward to returning to the cyder inn and recommend it to others
