The Bermuda Triangle, Parkstone

One of the best pubs in the area for a decent pint of real ale. Unfortunatly, the draught Erdinger is so good that I rarely drink the beer. Try it for yourself but be warned, more than four or five pints and you'll be carried home.

The Hole In The Wall, Waterloo

Been drinking here for over twenty years as there are always good ales in good condition and you can play pinball as well. Yes, it's a grubby sh*thole, but I go for the beer and as the missus hates it, there must be something going for it. Very easy to stay until the last train!

Champagne Charlie's, Charing Cross

The Old Whallop is excellent. The wines are good as are the snacks. The restaurant does good food. Book an "office" in advance if you want to have a quiet meeting with up to half a dozen guests. There's no extra charge and the guests will be impressed. Best avoided early in the evenings as it can be full of suited w**nkers.

The Ship and Shovell, Charing Cross

This is a great pub, with great beers and dreadful food. There are usually barmaids to drool over. Best visited during the afternoon when it is generally quite. This doesn't matter as your mobile will be 'out of range' so nobody will be able to find out where you are. I've met some amazing characters here who enjoy their pints and a chat.

The Harp, Covent Garden

One of the best pubs in the area with an ever changing selection of guest beers. Get there early at lunchtime for the full selection of sausage sandwiches. Down-to-earth landlady is always good fun and sometimes there's a barmaid to drool over.

The Salisbury, Leicester Square

One of my favourite London pubs...but best avoided in the evenings. However, at lunchtimes and during the afternoons it is usually quiet and you can enjoy a lovely kept pint and remarkable decor. Foods not brilliant but with good restaurants locally why bother? Just use it a boozer.

The Dukes Head, Hampton

Shhh! Don't tell everyone what a great pub this can be. Beer is usually in lovely condition and the staff are very friendly. The place could do with a makeover and I overheard that it might be another Hampton pub that will be turned into flats. Let's hope not.

Marneys Village Inn, Weston Green

Great pub that keeps the riff raff at bay by charging a little more than the average for their beers. It keeps the place civilised. Good wines too. Great food at lunchtime (Monday to Friday only) and the 'ladies who lunch' are usually very attractive and it's worth the visit for them alone! Get there early to grab a table. The beer is not always in the tremendous condition it was a few years ago...but getting a decent pint locally gets increasingly difficult. Good pub to take the girlfriend too...but don't mention it to the missus!

The Hogarth, Teddington

The beers is usually very good here, especially in the summer when they sell some of Fullers lighter beers. There's a good wine list as well. Good atmosphere in the winter when they show the footie. Haven't tried the food as it always looks dreadful.

The Old Kings Head, Hampton Wick

Nice little pub for a quiet drink. Sometimes too much smoke, but that won't be a problem soon! The Erdinger is brilliant and worth the visit for this alone.

The Surveyor, West Molesey

This pub is a disgrace to the Fullers estate. "Large Car Park" - seems to be sublet to local tradesmen as a parking space. "Outdoor Seating" - wooden tables that are falling to pieces. Trees in the garden - one dead and one half-dead. Overgrown hedges with borders full of weeds and crisp bags. Inside full of low-life. Could be a good pub with a little care, attention and an injection of cash by Fullers. Don't ever think of going there...The Bell (East Molesey) is only one mile away.
