The John Capel Hanbury, Pontypool

Popped in after officiating a football match. There was a very warm atmosphere with plent of regulars and the rugby crowd in. Service was efficient and a fab range of ciders. Would visit again when next in the area.

Pommelers Rest, Tower Bridge

really a pub in decline. In the age of non smoking and given its location the staff shouls make more of an effort to get the food to the table in less than an hour! many of my colleagues have wasted more than one lunch break, returning to work hungry!!!

The Kings Head, Abergavenney

Great pub although very small. Prime town centre location serving overpriced beer for the area but the food is always of a high standard. Small selection of rooms above the bar ata reasonable price too.

The Coliseum, Abergavenny

what lets this pub down is that when you visit in the winter the air con is on full blast and yet in the summer the heating is always on! mixed customer base, mainly locals on the weekend. The food is not as good as in recent years.
