Cosiest pub in Ware; choice of beer a little limited, but very well kept. Food excellent, and reasonably priced. Invariably some colourful local characters in residence, adding to the general mirth.

The Hamilton Hall, Liverpool Street
I have a sneaking regard for some of the more spectacular Wetherspoons' pubs, so I'm always happy to have an excuse to drop in when passing through Liverpool Street. Always a good selection of beers, and food decent; prices excellent.

The Old Bank of England, Fleet Street
If I'm spending a day in London, then I want my choice of pub to be something out of the ordinary, and The Old Bank of England is one of my favourites. As I come from McMullen territory, the chance to drink ESB on draught is always a treat. Food good, although could probably do with some more basic options, but this is a minor quibble.

Attractive country pub, with a reliable choice of beers. Good range of meals or snacks, reasonably priced, staff pleasant, service good.

The Vine, Ware
Slightly trendy, but nevertheless welcoming pub. Friendly, efficient staff, good range of beers, with changing guests; food very good, although priced accordingly.
