The Spanish Galleon, Greenwich

Not too busy on the day I visited, but populated by tourists rather than locals. Had to wait a while to be served - only two staff on and one of those spent most of his time serving food. Other than that, not a bad pub

The Kings Head, Chertsey

I visited this pub on Sunday. I was quite impressed. At bit of a locals pub, bout not overly so. It was showing football on one tv and F1 on the other. I had Sunday lunch and it was very nice. I am not local to the area (I was visiting the nearby miniature railway) and so I just stumbled across this pub. But i will visit it again when I am next in the area.

The Botwell Inn, Hayes

Now doing live jazz on sunday evenings.
(As far as I know, this is for a trial period which started on 6th August. If successful it may continue. In other words "use it or lose it").

The Railway, Greenford

I visited this pub last weekend with my wife & daughter. We sat in the small bar (next to the carvery). We had ordered drinks & then went to order some food from the bar snacks menu. The barmaid told us that they were not doing bar snacks (this despite the sign outside saying that bar food was always available). When my wife asked why the menus were on the tables if the pub was not doing bar food, the barmaid became very rude. Shortly afterwards another person (I persume the manager) came round the tables & removed the menus, but without any apology to my wife.
The bar staff in this pub are very rude. Avoid this pub.

The Crutched Friar, Tower Hill

Sorry Huddo, but as I am fairly new to this site I don't know what "ABO" and "P&P" refers to. Please explain what these mean.

The Watch House, Lewisham

A few less smokers than the last time I went. A good selection of guest beers. However, regarding the food, there was no chicken in stock so I had to change my order. Also my friend order a Lamb shank, which is supposed to be served with seasonal vegetables. It arrived with no seasonal vegetables, but instead with a serving of peas. My friend hates peas but the pub couldn't offer an alternative. Should they not have said, at the time of taking the order, that there were no vegetables, rather than just serving them without asking first. My friend is a supervisor & key time staff trainer at another Wetherspoons and so she knows that this was below what should be expected.

Willow Walk, Victoria

Can get crowded in the late afternoon, when people are getting an after work drink before going home. It is quieter during lunchtimes. The pub is quite narrow, I think, and that causes it to be more crowded than it might otherwise be. Other than that - a fairly standard Wetherspoons pub.

The Botwell Inn, Hayes

Quite a nice pub. Friendly bar staff but, as cackgsy said, they do tend to move on. Good selection of foreign bottled lagers. Screen showing Sky News in the dining area can be a bit distracting.
