Black Horse, Hookwood

Visited this pub on a recent Sunday night following a review in the local paper. Landlord extremely rude and his wife stressed out although there were only three people waiting at the bar. Not particularly well kept ales although the Stinger was passable. Outside seating is beside the busy and noisy A217 yest the car park is situated in a quiet lane. strange pub, much better at the Goffs Manor in Crawley and is owned by the same brewer

The Half Moon, Charlwood

Brilliant friendly pub with excellent food. Really surprised with comments made by mhartes as the last thing this pub looks like is Harvester even so some Harvesters are really good so no shame there. Having read his/her other reviews it seems that Berni inns (haven't existed for many years) and Chavs are everywhere and spoil their enjoyment!! Obviously people wth common accents in pubs with patterned carpets do not make a bad place. Do not be put off by negative reviews as we love this pub and all that eat/drink in it!! Sham on you mhartes.

The Flight Tavern, Lowfield Heath

Really poor selection of ales. London Pride saving it but is not always good. Flight Tavern used to be a briliant pub in the Bass days but is sadly lacking now. Food okay but really nothing to write home about. Service slow, disorganised and at times offhand. Not recommended unless you are staying in the Caravan Club site next door as there's nothing else.

The Lamb, Rusper

Absolute gem of a pub found by accident on Sunday 19/08/07. Bar and food service the best I have come across in many years. The food was so brilliant I just can not stop talking about it. The ales are well kept and they serve Stowford Press cider (a gem) along with a local brewed scrumpy. Local produce used where ever possible. The local smoked salmon is to die for. The Devon crab salad was divine and the roast topside was cooked to perfection. Can not fault the pub in the flesh but just wish they would invest in getting their website working. Highly recommended and really not expensive.
