The Ferry Tavern, Penketh

Tricky pub to find first time round but well worth the effort. Good selection of real ales, the Bowland Slogger was particularly tasty. Lovely location by the river, just gutted this place isnt my local!

Lovely old pub, great selection of beers and a lovely view from the beer garden on a sunny spring day. Well worth the visit.

The Royal Arms, Tockholes

Great boozer - cozy and welcoming on a drab day, cracking pint of Tockholes Treacle. Out of the way but well worth the effort to visit.

The Swan With Two Nicks, Little Bollington

Nice pub overall, very geared towards food but the beer is decent and worth visiting to try (Dunham Massey Dark was spot on yesterday). Dogs are allowed (which is great), just a pity some of the annoying owners aren't tethered outside!

The Lord Eldon, Knutsford

Cosy pub, real fires were very welcoming in the current weather, Black Sheep on good form on my visit yesterday, friendly staff and locals.
