The Coronation Tap, Clifton

Great in the summer when the sloane students are away on their daddy's yachts. In the winter it always smells of sick and the place is jammed. Don't forget to turn your trousers up and pull your trousers half way down your bum before entering.

The Avon Gorge Hotel, Clifton

Apart from the sun terrace there is no way I would drink in this pub. The beer is outragously expensive, try 3.10 for blackthorn (the only cider they sell). There are no Ales at all and the service is very very slow. Staff are happy to polish glasses when there are 20 people waiting! The food is average and again, very very expensive, 9.50 for a burger! My suggestion would be sitting on the green just up the road if it's sunny, same view and you can have a picnic.

The Mall, Clifton

Food and service has improved greatly since the change of management earlier in the year. Now a great venue for a lively saturday or a relaxing Sunday.

New Inn, Priddy

The new owners of this pub have transformed it into a welcoming and friendly place with an excellent selection of homecooked food and 6 real ales! They are providing a fine range of local brews including the new Cheddar brewery. The contrast in service from the old owners could not be greater, with the staff all being friendly and knowledgeable. There has been an obvious shift of local interest and having been in the Queen Vic recently, I can see why.

The Queen Victoria Inn, Priddy

The pub was aquired by Butcombe brewery back in July and unfortunately has lost some of it's charm since. Small changes serve to give a more commercial feel and some of the local atmosphere has dissapeared. I hope they stop short of turning this gem into yet another generic "food" pub, with little room for drinkers and locals.

Excellent atmosphere and a good range of both continental beers and real ales. Excellent venue for lounging on a Sunday afternoon.

The Queen Victoria Inn, Priddy

This pub has been in the hands of new owners for a little over two years. The home cooked food is excellent and there is a wide choice of well kept beers and three ciders. The welcome is always as warm as the three open fires and there are enough pub games to keep the most harden pub olympians happy. Bar Billards, Shove Ha'penny and Darts are all available. Prices are now some of the lowest in the area meaning all in all the pub is hard to beat.
