the venerable pt has received a makeover since my last visit and, very surprisingly, it has worked. It's a great pub. The toilets (slightly dodgy before) would now not be out of place in a posh hotel. It's not the cheapest but the wood burner and leather seating make it somewhere to go go out of your way for. will be back when I'm SW london. Post some photos landlord!!

The Devonshire Arms, Kensington
A really good pub but spoiled by understaffing and poor service from the overworked souls who are there - 2 on a Friday night meant 45 min wait at the bar...

Finally a refurbishment that hasn't ripped all the character out of a formerly great pub. Good food and drink, nice panelling and a large quiet and quirky courtyard garden which is pretty unique. Look forward to spending some time here this summer!

The Star and Anchor, West Ealing
Open again - Nice refit and food looks good. Moretti and Sagres pick of the lagers and Deuchars and Youngs on tap. Hope they do OK - this place changes hands too often
