Ferryboat Inn, Helford Passage

A shame; such a shame. The menu on offer in the evening was a poor lunch menu at best and the specials board was hidden out the back. I had a Gammon steak which was a very salty bacon lump in disguise and the food was not professional. There were no adults and nothing my party had was that good. Such a shame, the bureger in the afternoon was 10/10. The evening? 4/10. will not eat there in the eve again and will pass my thoughts onto anyone that asks

The Three Pilchards, Polperro

even though i spat the pancake out i had for desert (it was grossly over thick & mouldy)i still give this pub a 6. Maybe this is due to 'default' as it was during the festival & theses things happen, but it was, up until mr horrid pancake came to pay a visit,,,,yes, too much blackadder methinks, a pleasnt enough pub

The River Bank, Truro

1 for a game of pool; with a 5 deposit! i ask you!!!! Beer is 'dodgy' & the food is overpriced & of poorer standard than somewhere where you'd pay alot less for it. I think its lost its identity & its in a bit of a crisis. Needs an overhaul, but with so many other better pubs to go to i cant see a reason to go back & bother to see whats changed.

The Old Ale House, Truro

Though i must, regretable, agree that it is going 'down hill' a bit, i still give it a 7.The food is well priced & good value & the beer can be truely wonderful - 'an average pint' is a bad day, but, again, still at least double what you'd get in most. As for the atmosphere i rate it highly; freindly & well mixed. No, no visit to Truto is the same without a visit there.
