since the old tenants left the place has gone down hill.. still a lovley pub but it lacks the personality and charm the old land lords gave the place. they have tryed to carry on the prevous quality of food but unfortunatly it has not happened

last time a took a visit to this pub there was atmosphere, what has happened to the pubs around here? beer ok ish.
i had lunch it was ok... but nothing to get excited about. the staff wearnt interested in serving or even being a little polite.
all in all there are much better pubs around!

had to pay this pub a visit after all the comments! well what can you say...not as bad as i thought i would have been, considering it is in poole and theres nothing you can do about the gypsy inbreads that live here. beers not bad, good music entertainment and excelant location

Recently paid the Blue Boar a visit after hearing it has new tenants...wow what a difference! the pub is clean, tidy, excellant beer, and seems to be a family run establishment, it has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the new tenants are always there for a chat..unlike the prevous ower!!! remcommened to all. By far the best thing that has happened to this pub since Jim and Shela, good for them!

I imagine it was a lovley pub once, although all the staff are friendly, there seems to be no managment. foods ok, beers ok. But the regular clientell in my recent visit took a lot to be desired!
