Definitely a beer pub, not a food pub. Unfortunately I was looking for somewhere for lunch and the meagre choice of pie or pastie wasn't tempting. Would be unfair of me to rate it, so I won't.

Pretty good pizza and pasta restaurant with a (very) small public bar.

Arranged to meet a mate at the Red Lion a couple of weeks ago. Got there to find �4.00 parking charge. Didn't have �8 in change, nor the inclination to go to the bar, get change, feed the parking machine, then reclaim at bar. Went to Shoulder of Mutton instead.

The Swan Inn, Stewkley
What hours does this pub keep? Just went there for lunch and a beer only to be told it wasn't open at lunchtime.
