New Town Tavern, Colchester

Newly re-opened pub, it had previously been the Blue Boar, and the Pink Panther, and now re-opened as a real ale pub.
Price is good, but beer selection not so great. 3 ales on, but the one i had was off so had to return it. Only beers left were 2 Adnams beers. Would have expected a better choice on a Saturday.
Lots of potential in this place, just needs to be realised.

Blue and White Shed, Halstead

This rare establishment was open again this weekend. A nice bitter and mild was available, and at a decent price. No lager on for those who dont drink ale, fortunatley only ale drinkers were present so this was not a problem.
Only complaint was the ale ran out far too quickly, with no other guest beers lined up to be put on.

The Barrels, Hereford

Quality boozer, loads of good ales on offer. One of the best pubs i have been into in a long time.
Was in there on a saturday night and it was packed all night which is the sign of a good boozer. If i am ever in town again it will be top of my list if visit.

Mr Foley's Cask Ale House, Leeds

Was in the same group as the comment below. Could not believe how rude the bar man. If you advertise you open at 11am, then you should. If there was a problem all the barman had to do was tell us!!!!
Gets a 0 from me.
