Had an enjoyable meal here in september 2011. Good well cooked steak and very nice fish of the day. Shame about the outdated decor but bar appeared extremely well stocked in liquers and shots... so we had to partake! Staff friendly.

Won't be returning. Long wait for food despite pub being pretty empty. Ordered lamb steak at �11, texture was very odd lie it was pumped full of water. Had to ask for cutlery and condiments. Waiter walking around pub wearing ipod earphones. Staff who struggle to understand english. Oh and no loo paper in the ladies.

Have been here for several Sunday lunches. Good food and nice atmosphere, not too crowded. Recommended.

Have been here lots of times to eat. Food and service is consistently good and the place has a nice atmosphere.

Very poor service. Doesn't look as nice in real life as it does on their website. We had booked a table for 3pm, when we went to order they said that the kitchen had closed despite website and blackboards stating they were open for food all day (and despite accepting our booking). They did in fact take our order, but despite there being absolutely noone else eating we had to wait over half an hour for our food. Admittedly the food itself was quite good when it arrived but the lack of service spoiled the whole meal.

Coach and Horses, Appledore
We were the only 2 customers in the rather drab dining room BUT the food was very reasonable for the prices. Bar was packed for folk night. Appears to be a very friendly place. Visit was Sept 2011.
