The Wyndham Arms, Salisbury

A proper boozer! A wonderful find, pity I bought a house over a mile away.
Superb beers from Hopback (one of the countries most successful brewers - take note wolvesfan) , friendly welcoming staff and incredibly good prices for Salisbury .(GFB bitter 2.30 as opposed to 3.20 around the corner at The Royal George!)

Small, multiroomed old fashioned pub with friendly locals and superb beer.
Wish it was close enough to be our local.

The Haunch of Venison, Salisbury

What a shame! Beautiful building, pity about the beer and staff.
Courage Bitter and GK IPA of dubious quality and 3.30 pint (pre - VAT increase)

Barmaid reading a book while tables left with dirty glasses and other debris.

This should be a flagship outlet in Salisbury not the tired mess it is. A real shame. Could be wonderful with proper management.

Visit for a quick look at the building only.

The Village, Salisbury

This place really is in need of a major makeover. It is now beyond scruffy, its downright dirty and unhygienic, the gents loo should should be condemned.

The beer may well be fine but the unpleasant odour of the place and the scruffiness make it a no-no for me and friends.

There are far better pubs in Salisbury. (Wyndham Arms, Winchester Gate to name 2)

The Rai D'Or, Salisbury

What a find! Being new to Salisbury exploring new pubs is great fun. This place is a real find, wonderful combination of fine ales and fine Thai food. Agree with Roger B about the identity, but its a small place and at busy food times it is hectic for drinkers. Go early evening b4 7 or later after 9.30 and its wonderful. A firm favourite of ours already. Great food, good local ales and welcoming staff. "Wolvesfan" comments should be ignored when he makes silly remarks like the pub looks like a public lav! He must visit some odd public lavs if they look like this! Just look at the pubs pic and judge for yourself.
