Blind Jacks, Knaresborough

definitely NOT the best pub in Knaresborough, the Mitre & the Cross Keys are much better! Blind Jacks is a small dingey pub with a decent selection of real ales but the landlord is not very welcoming especially if you're in a group, raise your voice & you are told in no uncertain terms to be quiet!

Stables Pub, Weetwood

excellent pub with a good atmosphere serving several real ales including Black Sheep & Copper Dragon Golden Pippin, good food is served all day until late in the evening, a large outdoor area is provided which is like a courtyard with grass in the middle with plenty of tables & chairs, is a great place to be on a warm Summer's day!

The Eldon, Woodhouse

awful pub that stank of urine, we called in last night as it is supposed to have 8 real ales on but 6 were turned around & they only had Tetley's bitter & Abbot Ale, so after questioning the uninterested bar staff about this we left & went next door to the Pack Horse where they served us several excellent glasses of Copper Dragon Golden Pippin.

The Old Bell Tavern, Harrogate

great pub with an excellent selection of real ales which are always kept in top form, nice clean surroundings with an all over no smoking policy although it can get rather crowded especially at weekends.

The Barge and Barrel, Elland

great pub with an excellent selection of real ales always available which are kept in top form, the only down point is that smoking is allowed throughout & it can get quite smokey at busy times.

The Hunters Inn, Pool in Wharfedale

The best pub in the world, literally! always an excellent selection of real ales which are kept on top form, a great atmosphere which feels welcoming as soon as you walk through the door with an open fire to keep you warm in the Winter months, there's plenty of seating both inside & outside on the patio, food is served at lunch time & children are allowed up until 9pm & dogs are allowed after the food has stopped being served at 3pm, there's a pool table & a jukebox which plays at just the right volume.
nearest rail station - Weeton 1.8 miles
buses stop outside on the 653 Harrogate - Bradford service & the 904 Harrogate - Otley service.
