The Medicine Bar, Islington

The best thing about this bar stopped working behind the bar 3-4 years ago.

Agree with all below. Been going to this bar for 6-7 years. Had some fantastically memorable nights here only 3 years ago including a joint birthday for my sister and me upstairs.

Went there again quite recently on a Friday night expecting a good time. Instead all I got was a lame evening that finished at 11. Very poor.

As for the service...er, what service?

The Lyceum, Strand

If it was the Courtauld's "official" pub it was certainly Kings' "unofficial" pub. What a really lame place. Had as much atmosphere as the waiting booth at South Bermondsey train station.

If you're studying at either place don't go here or the Waterfront or Tutu's...it's all about the LSE bar. Cheap subsidised booze. DO IT!

The Londesborough, Stoke Newington

Went here a few times last summer. Yeah, was pretty good if a little pricey. Good atmosphere, music ok though DJing a little random. I guess it's cool if you like listening to other peeps record collections.

The main attraction had to be the two barmaids who were there last summer, the one looked like Uma Thurman and the other like Helena Christensen...sensational stuff!

Don't know if they're still there.

Nice Mojitos.

The Prince Albert, Notting Hill

Was inclined to say that the best thing about this place stopped working behind the bar a couple of years ago, but that's kinda harsh. Still does anyone remember Jessica the barmaid. She was awesome!

Where was I...Oh yeah, it's a pretty cool place especially in summer. Nice place to go with mates or for a cheeky one in your lunch break. Gets kinda busy in the evenings so it's a case of getting there early but the vibe is relaxed.
