George and Dragon, Sutton Courtenay

16th Century coaching inn located in peaceful Sutton Courtenay. Nice place to go to. Strange to hear people standing at a bar who can talk properly and communicate without punctuating every second work with f*** but apparently they do still exist and they are to be found in The George and Dragon.

This place is great inside and out, garden is a bit concrete-y but nice enough. Food used to be good but it's just changed hands so all bets are off as far as that's concerned.
They normally serve Morlands Original, Greene King IPA and a guest beer.

Nags Head On The Thames, Abingdon

A great place to spend a summers afternoon. Has it's own little island on the river. Inside average, food ok, dont expect to be blown away but not bad.
Normally has either Director's or Bass. Needs bouncers on Friday and Saturday nights which suggests it may not be so good a choice in the evenings.

The Kings Head and Bell, Abingdon

Has an excellent snug with nice comfy armchairs and serves a nice pint of Directors. The main bar can be a bit noisy but seemed good natured enough, mostly full of student types when I last visited.

Ock Mill, Abingdon

A hideous monstrosity. The outside shows promise but inside you can still smell the varnish drying on the laminated wood interior.
Been there twice and both times the beer was a little cloudy, to be fair at least they did sell an IPA (Flowers) but I can only assume that I was the first one to order one in a while.
