The Twynersh, Chertsey

Visited recently for the first time. Its a massive Hungry Horse pub with a big garden and plenty to keep the kids amused. It needs it especially early evening after Thorpe Park has turned out as the wait for food can be long sometimes. The waiting time board goes up to 90 minutes! Staff friendly though but it no longer sells any draft real ales. It has bottled Abbott but they keep it in the fridge!! Take a bottle warmer with you. For a family meel though its excellent value

The Greyhound, Charlwood

Had the best pint of Greene King IPA in a long time. Bar Staff friendly and informative. The Hungry Horse menu is still good value and they know how to cook a good steak. My only gripe is I wish they'd wipe the tables, they can get very sticky

The Dolphin Tavern, Bloomsbury

Went in on a rainy evening, found it uninviting, even though I was the only person in there there bar person preferred to read his newspaper. It was too bright, it could have been better if some of the lights were turned off.

Prince of Wales, Hampton Court

After refurbishment its like drinking in a doctors waiting room. When I called in this evening all 3 real ales were off, only fizz was available. The bar is too small and there's nowhere to stand. Not a pub if you are on your own. Go over th4e road to the Albion instead.

The Bell, East Molesey

Under new management, unfortunatly no longer has Old Peculiar as standard but as an occasional guest amongst the usual Courage brews. The current policy seems to hsve 2 guest beers at a time so its not all bad!
Not a pub for going in alone unless you like your own company

Great Pub, now sells 3 Real Ales (IPA,Hen and HSB). The food is good and reasonable especially the sandwiches and prompt service. The Broadband Internet jukebox is great albeit pricey (1 a track if its downloaded) but its great to have the choice. The music can be loud in the bar( not the eating area) but if you want a quiet drink go across the road to the Albion.
