Rose and Crown, Histon

Had a pint in here on Fri 8th Oct.

Didn't seem the most friendly of places. About a dozen or so locals sitting on stools at the bar with a look about them=, that strangers weren't welcome.

Had a Fosters and was probably the worst of the four pubs in Histon.

The York, Islington

Visited this pub on Saturday evening 24th Oct

The place was very busy but yet the service was painfully slow. Could double it's takings if the staff speeded up a bit. I saw people give up and walk out after waiting so long to get served.

Guinness was average but drinkable. A very good selection for the Ale drinkers.

The Fish And Eels, Hoddesdon

Haven't visited this pub for many years until yesterday. Was a bit disappointed that they have turned it completely to a gastro pub style restaurant. I think they should have kept some small area of the place just as a bar.

Had a pint of Staropramen which was spot on but unfortunately the Sunday Roast dinners we had were not very nice and the portion size seemed a little on the stingy side.

The Old Barge, Hertford

Nice looking pub inside and out but was put off by the West End London prices (nearly four quid a pint) and the rather up their own behind clientele.

The Victoria, Tottenham

I've been drinking in this pub on and off for years. Always found the place friendly with good staff and a nice pint. Spurs crowd always well looked after and I've never seen any trouble at all.

At weekends they normally have live music and theres always a bit of craic.
