The Roebuck, Borough

Opposite student halls i literally lived in this pub for 9 months. Friendly staff, good drinks, amazing sunday roast and decent background music. Always a chilled place to hang out and providing boardgames to wile away the hours is always appricated.

Skuba Bar (Portland Hotel), Folkestone

Yummy thai food downstairs and always has a friendly atmosphere. Also has undoubtedly the best beer garden in town which catches the last of the afternoon sun and has patio heaters to stave off the chill in the evenings.

La Vue, Folkestone

I used to quite like la vue when it first opened, but having not been in there for a while i went in for lunch with some friends the other day i was shocked.

The staff were rude and made it seem like it was a huge effort for them to pour a few drinks. Obviously i annoyed them by interrupting the chatter about last nights eastenders.

This was topped off by the vast change in quality of food since last year. For 7 i got a measly little plate of frozen calamari with a small pot of salsa which tasted like watery chopped tomatos and tabasco. I wont be wasting my time or money here again!

The Office (Southcliff Hotel), Folkestone

The Office has ALWAYS served Kroneberg Blanc since it first opened.

Id agree with the last review only rephrase to Good food, and the staff looks good.

Ive never failed to have good service in here with a smile and lots of help choosing cocktails from the various staff and manager Ian. Ive come in here for lunch before and must say the food is probably the best ive had in any bar in folkestone.

Thumbs up from me!
