Rutland Arms, Bakewell

Dead.

Its not really a pub. Just a hotel bar, without an atmosphere.
Was recently on hotel inspector, as it was so bad. May have changed since then but I wouldnt bet on it.

The owner is unfriendly.

I wouldnt go here unless you were staying at the hotel and couldnt be bothered to walk over the road.

The Queens Arms, Bakewell

My favourite pub in Bakewell without a doubt.
It is traditional but modern at the same time. Very cozy inside, great beer and a nice enclosed beer garden with shelter and heater lights.

Bar staff are always friendly. It also has a games room with pool table and darts and is very popular with both the young people and old alike.

What more could you want in a pub?

Castle Inn, Bakewell

Quite a nice pub. Has an outdoor beer garden although not as cozy as the Queens over the road. Inside it is quite traditional and in my opinion more of a place where you go for lunch than a drinking session.

It has very good food here and also vegetarian options for those veggies out there. Beer is good and toilets are standard but clean.

Would recommend for a bite to eat.

The Peacock, Bakewell

Not a bad pub. Nice beer garden in summer. Quite expensive for beer and also if you are a tourist be careful that you are not being overcharged. There used to be a tourist price and a local price (may have changed now).

Beer is good.
