The Trowel and Hammer, Lowestoft

I love this pub and can't reccommend it highly enough just for the fact that on a chilly, mid~winter day you can sit outside in the garden and soak up the bleak beauty of this part of the coastline as well as a decent pint ...

What more could you want?

But if you prefer your creature comforts, there's an open fire in the bar as well.

The Prince Regent, South Kensington

Oh what a travesty ... :~(

Last time we visited this pub, it was The Black Widow, and whilst others may ghav not found it to their taste, we never had a problem with staff, and while a tad kitsch abd tacky, the tongue in cheek decor was superb. Couldn't fault it.

NOW ... went there last night, found it's been changed to The Prince Regent, a very non~descript and vacuous venue, all on one level and about as much atmosphere as a non functioning barometer.

Needless to say, we didn't stay, and wouldn't reccommend this place to anyone now. There aer already far too many pubs that cater for this bland market.

NUL POINTS!
