The Jolly Collier, Bedminster

Unremarkable.Appeals to a more mature clientele.Weekly entertainment

Robert Fitz Harding, Bedminster

Standard W'spoons outlet (sic). Wide range of good quality beer at cheap prices. Service can be infuriating at times (e.g. staff bottling up when customers are waiting). Latest ruse is to advertise Extended Opening times (to 1am Fri & Sat, midnight other nights) but not allow anyone in after 11pm.

The Black Cat, Bedminster

Narrow bar, generally populated with locals. Cask Bass served the Bristol way without a head is a feature. Karaoake/entertainment on a Sunday evening is popular.

The Princess Of Wales, Bedminster

Usually has at least 3 different Wickwar ales available, although doesn't seem to have a big real ale clientele. Hasn't benefited from frequent change in management over the last few years and competition from Wetherspoons down the road. Worth seeking out.

The Albert Inn, Bedminster

Alas the Albert has been closed and boarded up for several months after a lengthy campaign to keep it open. Looks like being sold for housing development. Was formerly an excellent jazz/folk music venue.
