Pleasant pub with a nice atmosphere. Beer a bit pricey, �3 for a pint of London Pride. Sunday roast also over priced, but complementary bread and oil almost made up for it.

An excellent back street middle class pub. Excellent London Pride and ESB. Food is superb and reasonable. Must serve the best chip in the country. If you have to take the missus out, this is the pub to go to.

As a regular I must say how much this pub has changed since the new management has been installed. It has always been the 'Friendliest Pub in St Albans' but now it has good, affordable food and entertainment. And as always a great range of real ales.

The Mermaid, St Albans
The pub has improved dramatically since Sam & Emily took over. It has returned back to what it was - a friendly community pub.
Top beers and Cider and a friendly welcome.
Hope they get the lease soon.
