I drink lager in the Millers on the rare occasions I go there, and that's usually pretty bad too. If you want a decent pint, my advice is go to the Brandy Cask (brews it's own beer), which is about 100 metres further up Bridge Street. Also give the Angel a try - decent Bombadier although but a bit expensive.

Further to my comment 26 Sep 2009, I saw today that the bar staff (Claire, the manageress) keep a glass of 'overspill' by some of the taps which they sneak into the next customers pint! That must be against about 100 EU directives!

I can only agree with alastair5. The new bar manager really spoils this pub. and he seems determined to serve you a 'short' pint which is something that I find very offensive!
On a more positive note, they have 6X and Bass which are generally good and they usually have a guest beer too. Food is on the expensive side but is different to the usual pub menu.
