The Sutton Arms, Southend on Sea

Used to believe this was an old man pub and full of your usual undisirable types. Well this is true to some degree. However Thursday night karaoke is heaving and with youngsters. Everyone there is up for a laugh and some fun and gosh the crowd is fit. Def some of my bestnights out hav ebeen here

O'Neills, Southend on Sea

NICE PUB, BEEN GOING THERE SINCE A KID AND I HAD TO SIT OUTSIDE ON THE BENCHES IN THE COLD WHILST MY PARENTS BOUGHT ME COKE AND TATO CRISPS. have always commented on the fake-irishness. I used to go to o'ds for real irish culture but they've turned that into Bakers 3-d bar. Dammit like bakers bar aint big enough already

O'Donoghues, Southend on Sea

I used to work here, was a nice lil pub, been goin there years myself. Irish atmosphere. Friendly and harmless old men were always willing to talk to you. Fun atmosphere outside in the summer. Did the best guiness in town (or so i was told). Never told us to piss off when busking outside as kids.

However now they've made it as an extension of Bakers bar and its all gone.

The Red Lion, Riddings, Derbyshire

Lovely lil pub where everyone knows your name. Interesting food menu, although as a vegetarian i cant give much of a review, but they do kangaroo and ostrich as well as other oddities. Wouldn't go here to pull tho as the clientelle is in the older range generally and the bar stock is a bit basic in terms of spirits. Although i have been told there bitter and ale range is impressive but i dont drink that so wouldn't know

Oh! Bar, Camden

I always go to Camden for Christmas to visit family
Last year we stopped by the oh! bar on xmas eve. It was dead, apart from a small group playing operation (the board game) in the corner.

The barmaid working was very very lovely, both personality and look-wise. However the barman was too full of his own self worth and importance to give a damm about the customers. on reply to a simple request to turn the music down for 2mins (we were the only ones in there after all) the barman laughed and said yeah right, and turned it up to full volume. We did get an appology from the barmaid but i dont think we'll be going back there

Also for a cocktail bar, i found the cocktail menu rather basic and there was no room for variations in the drinks served.
