The Crooked House, Gornal Wood

Lovely place to sit outside in the summer. As it starts to get to the evening the chavs come out but hey, it's gornal, so I guess that's to be expected!

The Cumberland Arms, West Kensington

I really like this place..I've taken two friends who've felt the same too. Lovely to sit next to the cosy open fire with a large glass of wine. Never eaten here but the food looks and smells lovely!

The Marquis of Granby, Fitzrovia

Good pub, friendly staff..usually gets really busy but I've been in many times on a Saturday afternoon after shopping and it's much quieter and has a relaxing atmosphere.

The Penderel's Oak, Holborn

Spent a lovely couple of hours in there recently with a couple of glasses of wine and steak and chips. Good food, very friendly staff, excellent value and as it was a cold and rainy day we were happy to relax next to the open fire. Thumbs up for this one.

The Norfolk Arms, Russell Square

Not sure what to make of this place..been a couple of times now but it feels like it doesn't know what it is..pub or restaurant. All the smokers had the tables outside, everyone was eating inside, and any spare tables were reserved for later. Nowhere to stand with a drink without feeling in the way or being asked "can I help you?" like I should be ordering some food.

Night and Day, Russell Square

Had a couple of very drunken nights in here (it's one of those places you go because it's open later than everywhre else). It could be more glamorous considering it's location in Russell Square but it is what it is..a bar in a hotel that isn't the best hotel but the staff are pretty friendly and I've been in much worse places.

Queens Larder, Bloomsbury

I love this quirky little pub. Real characters serving behind the bar, a cosy atmosphere, good outside seating. A real mix of regulars and tourists. Pretty quiet on Sunday nights but even when it's busy I've always managed to find a seat within about 10 mins. Definitely one of my favourite places to drink in London.
