The Royal Oak would be an excellent village pub except for one thing.
It shares Laxfield with the Low House.

A truly wonderful example of what an English pub can be. Unique in some ways but this just works. In the winter you can sit in a large settle by the fire, whilst in the summer the vast beer garden gives you plenty of sun and shade, and play space for children.

The Allerford Inn, Allerford Crossing
Excellent pub, well worth the journey and money for the variety and the quality of the food and service.

Got thrown out of here (along with my dad) for having had too many drinks - we'd had 2 cans of beer each.
Not planning on using it again...
