what a great open mic night at the crown 1st friday of every month. speaking to landlady and she tells me refurbishment of the pub is due in March after they get the fire to stop smoking. but she is excited about the changes ahead. Winner of Darlington camras country pu of the year 2011 which is now 9 years so they must bedoing something right.

Went to the cider festival saturday what a great day. It was so busy they ran out of cider but went back on Sunday and had great beer as usual. Music was fantastic and only cost a donation to St Theresas hospice.

I went to the beer festival and had a fantastic time . 20 odd beers to choose from on friday went back on sat and they were running out quickly but I still think they had 10 at end of evening. Went back on sunday afternoon for a great bbq and they had got beer in so back to 15 to choose from. Went to the cider festival this weekend and the bands were great not a fantastic turn out but 15 ciders to choose from as well as the usual 8 beers spoilt for choice excellant pub

Excellant pub for beer small choice of good food.A nice welcome from landlord landlady and staff.Beer festival next weekend Sept 1-3rd good choice of beers coming and great bands.

The Crown Inn, Manfield
It seems like some people are gluttons for punishment. If they dont like the pub dont go. I dont visit places i dont like twice. maybe they are just nit picking. i regularly got to the Crown open mic nights and quizzes as well as Beer festivals and also just because. its the best pub for miles around and if ever there is a problem with the beer or anything else a quiet word with the people in charge gets a satisfactory answer.
