The Turf Tavern, Bloxwich

Visited Saturday during a CAMRA presentation. The pub had received yet another in a literally long line of awards with a commendation in the Walsall CAMRA 2009 Pub of the Year competition. It was easy to see why with five great beers from Otley, RCH, Oakham, Otter and Pardoes. All were sampled and all were in superb condition. Will return soon.

The Whimsey Inn, Willenhall

Heard by word of mouth of improvement now under new management. Both cask ales in good condition. Enville Ale and Jennings Cocker Hoop at time of visit. Draw back is only two beers to choose from. Could do with another two to compliment with the availability of a driving beer.

The Royal Exchange, Stone

Yet another fine addition to the Titanic fleet. Opened last September. Up to ten well kept beers including four or five guests from popular breweries. Excellent.

The Swan Inn, Stone

Last weekends planned visit was dissapointing, five of the eight were over 5% and with two at 3.8% not much of a choice for the day tripper. A blip I hope.
