The Glue Pot, Swindon

In response to the recent posting from "an_ecunemical_matter" I'd like to correct a few of his points, I was the "industrious and friendly" barman on this occasion, I took over the bar from Kieth the landlord at 2pm and he came back down to help me as soon as I called him when the initial rush came in from the Beer Fest, together we served a very busy afternoon, and enjoyed the company of a great many of the festival goers. If all "an_ecunemical_matter" can do is snipe at the landlord via this means frankly I hope it's another 2 and a half years before we see you again, leave a seat spare for those who are more objective, Mike & Becky aren't coming back so get over it!

Entire Stout has sadly come to an end for a while on the bar here, it is still available in bottles.

For regular updates on the current beer range I recommend joining the facebook group "Proppin' up the Glue Pot bar"

The Greyfriars, Perth

During my recent visit to Perth I had the pleasure of using the Greyfriars on two consecutive days, quite a gem of a 'wee' pub! I found the landlady very warm and welcoming, she struck up a conversation with me strait away, as did several locals. The beer was on tip-top form too, I'll definitely return next time I'm in Scotland.
