Three Crowns, Stoke Newington

Went in on a Friday night with a few other. We were quite well looked after by the attentive bar manager/supervisor the couple of times he served us. Trouble is the music was just too loud. Don't get me wrong I appreciate having a dj on etc.. but if I can only talk/shout to the person directly next to me what's the point? It just ain't social.

The Londesborough, Stoke Newington

Wasn't taken by the new decor at first but by the time I'd had a couple of pints and mellowed out it grew on me.
Haven't tried the new menu yet but will soon. Glad to see the pub open again as it always was a favourite meeting place for my friends. Ales were in good nick.
So far so good.

The Duke Of Wellington, Hackney

I like this place. The staff seem more attentive than they were a couple of years back. Good effort with the ales selection although I did get offered one that was pretty cloudy around the time they had an 'ale festival' on. It may well be gentrified but if that's what it takes to keep pubs open and stop them from going under so be it.

The Lock Tavern, Camden

I've been going to the Lock for a few years now and I know for a fact they don't serve cocktails. Never have.
If you're going to make up a terrible 'review' (like that of Rand below) you might as well get your facts right first.

It's a great pub. Yeah it's trendy. Yeah you won't get in if your wearing a suit on a Friday night. Yeah the barstaff are hot. Yeah the music is edgy and you probably won't recognise it. So it won't be for everyone. Good.

I love it.
