The Griffin, Whetstone

This is the best traditional pub in Whetstone.

The series of refurbs (Scruffy Murphys etc) didn't do it any favours though. Griffin forever.

i-bar, Whetstone

This sed to be one of the greattraditional pubs in Whetstone.

Unfortunately the vast numbers of pool tables attract too many chavs.

The Haven, Whetstone

Nice wine bar attached to an overpriced restaurant.

The staff are arrogant as a previous writer says.

The Ivory Club, North Finchley

Supposed to be members only but if you're not Asian you can fill in as many application forms as you like and you will never hear from Rohan.

Food is good though.

O'Neills, North Finchley

Not too good since Linda left.

Employs some of the most useless barstaff around - the sort that just serve whoever is in front of them at the time.

Packed with sc*m at the weekend too.

The Elephant Inn, North Finchley

One of the best and most established pubs in North Finchley.

Not quite as good now as when Mark and the New Zealand crowd were in charge.

It should be called The Moss Hall Tavern as otherwise people who are new to the area can get confused.

The Malt and Hops, North Finchley

Fantastic small traditional pub. Now under inspired new management. Great Jukebox and relaxed atmosphere.

Friendly staff and regulars. Lots of events like 'The Sunday People' and 'Jenny Jones'.

La Zeez, North Finchley

Much improved now that the little camp dwarf has left.

Since the refit from the Belgrave this pub has ideas far above it's station (like a poster claiming it had been voted 'best pub in finchley' - BY WHO?)

Also famous for claiming quality food in one window and advertising for a Chef with No Experience necessary in the next window.

This pub will improve when they relax the admission rules and hire professional bar staff instead of children.
