Swan Inn, Weymouth

This must be one of the best W'spoons in the country. Staff always helpful, beer always good, and the food good value for money. The only whinge is the beer garden is now the smoking area so unless you smoke its best to stay inside.

The Nothe Tavern, Weymouth

The wife and I ate there last night, My Ringwood best was off and when I returned it the barmaid did say that someone else had complained. She replaced it with a pint of Marstons "Ashes" which was good. I did note her later on, pulling through a new barrel of Ringwood best.
I had roast belly pork, it was fantastic! With Dauphenoise potatos and mushy pea's. The wife had a burger, However, this was no ordinary burger, it was more like a piece of fillet. Presented in a home made bun with fries, nice salad with dressing and a chutney.
The carvery which we from eat from time to time is always a recommend.
In the summer out in the beer garden the views across the river and bay are great.

Fox Inn, Ansty

The wife and I popped in at lunch time today (Sunday) was welcomed at the door, we had not booked a table but nevertheless we were shown to a table with no fuss whatsoever. The waitressess were attentive the carvery excellent and the wine reasonably priced. It is worth the drive to this isolated part of Dorset.
