Angry Alys Wine Bar and Restaurant, Southsea

A gorgeous little wine bar nestled away down the vibrant Castle Road with its array of quirky shops...

The place is a hidden gem, the barman Rod is a charismatic gentlemen who is just the perfect host...

Sadly the place has recently been sold and future of this place is not looking rosy...

Forget to say, the food is fabulous and the chef is localy renowed...

Leopold Tavern, Southsea

I have visited this place in the vibrant Albert Road, the pub has won many awards for its real ale and cider. Has bouncers on a Friday/Saturday night and they are friendly compared to other bouncers in the city. I know Steve the owner and he is a friendly gentleman.

The Wellington, Portsmouth

Kate Preston the owner is just the perfect person to run this thriving pub on the social scene in wonderful Old Portsmouth. It is a hidden gem in a lovely building, really cosy, great beer and food. A great place to go after a long day at work to wind down with a glass of red wine by the fire or to take your wife, clients or family out for a lovely pub lunch, meal or there award winning roast dinner.

The Surrey Arms, Portsmouth

I know the owner of this place Paul Ojla who also owns Cabman's rest and other pubs in the city. The guy is a great businessman and owns Wiggle, The Lapdancing Club next door. I have not had the chance to visit this place but everything else Paul owns is very vibrant, friendly, thriving and successful.

The Still and West, Portsmouth

A little gem of a pub in the magical Old Portsmouth with it's cobbled streets and the glorious views of the Harbour.

I have only visited this place a few times, beautiful sitting outside in the summer but gets very busy with locals and tourists.

The prices are reasonable and I have been told the food is yummy.

The Mary Rose, Portsmouth

I visit this place quite often, the food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and it has a large car park at the front.

I have visited at weekends and in the week, the place is located around the corner from the duke of buckingham in High Street, Old Portsmouth and Abarbistro.

It is not the most lively of places but is rather pleasant for a beer in the evening and the prices are reasonable compared to Gunwharf and in Old Portsmouth.

Ignore the reviews above and pay a visit to this boozer if you want a beer or if you are coming for a sit down meal to experience the finest Chinese food outside of China.
