The Red Lion, Avebury

Very disapointing.
We visited recently with our seven year old daughter and intended to
buy a meal whilst we were there.
One quick look around the bar whilst buying our ale was enough to put us
off actually buying any food there.
Certainly did not want to give the little 'un food poisoning.
The whole place was so dirty I didn;t want to think about the kitchen area.
To echo past comments...what a shame as could be a brilliant pub
with fantastic location.

Bread and Roses, Clapham

Locals and staff extremely friendly.
Hobgoblin on tap , very much welcome on a cold
Novembers evening.
My only reservation would be the decor which is a
bit "minimalistic" giving the pub a bit of a wine
bar feeling (god forbid !!)
Well worth seeking out as slightly off the beaten
track.

The Frog and Forget-Me-Not, Clapham

Had an enjoyable few hours and the host , Chris ,
was very friendly and accomodating.
Even when we mentioned we were only in Clapham for
the evening and wanted to try several local bars he
helped us finding where we wanted to go to the point
of ringing one pub for directions.
It has a lovely roof terrace which will soon be
heated (unfortunatley not soon enough for us as we
visited on a freezing afternoon in November).
at the moment Chris only has Bombardier on tap however
tried other ales only to find that they weren't selling.
certainly worth a visit if your'e in the area.
