The King Charles Inn, Poole

This place has been closed the last few times I've walked past. Maybe we're about to see yet another change of management, we must be due for one.

The Lord Nelson, Poole

Strange how Brewmason, Blackgander and now Elfhelp all happen to leave numerous comments on the Lord Nelson and pubs in Reigate. A cynic might think they are all the same person. Still, if Mr Brew-Gander-Help likes quaffing inferior beer in the most expensive, dirtiest pub in Poole, it speaks volumes about his tastes!

Spotted Cow, Poole

Good, reasonably priced ale and some decent live music at weekends. often frequented by disillusioned former Lord Nelson drinkers and staff who got fed up with the expensive undrinkable beer.

The Angel, Poole

Excellent real-ale pub in the back streets away from the over-priced tourist traps on Poole Quay. Normally has four Ringwood ales and one guest beer on the handpump. Friendly locals' pub and well worth a visit.

The Lord Nelson, Poole

Who is this 'genial landlady' who Mr Brown-Nose Brewmason so eloquently praises? I've never noticed anyone fitting that description on my last few visits! Couldn't agree more about the disgusting state of the paddling pool, sorry, gents' toilets. Does the Public Health Inspector ever visit this place? As for the vile overpriced beer, how do the Brewery have the neck to increase their already exorbitant prices even further? No wonder this place is normally empty when there's no live music. Shame to see what was such a good pub years ago go down the pan like this place has.

The Antelope, Poole

I like this place. Seems like a friendly locals pub where you can escape from some of the idiots in the tourist-trap pubs on Poole Quay. Beer not overpriced and some good bands to be seen, normally every Thursday.
