Almost got mugged outside sitting on the benches. From what I found, not a nice atmosphere. Rather grim.

The Oxford, Kentish Town

They use oven chips, and a G&T and wine cost me damn near a tenner. And was very crowded, luck to get a seat outside. Good beers though.

The Gatehouse, Highgate

Full of boozed-up highgate boys, and rich chavs. Very horrible atmosphere. Avoid. Although some of the staff are friendly I'm sure they'll move on soon enough.

The Wheatsheaf, Oxford

Not bad, drinks aren't that interesting but comedy evenings and gigs in the upstairs function room are generally good.
