The quality of the cask ales in this hostelry are absolutely fantastic. The Everards Whakatu we had was the best we'd ever had. Every cask is nurtured like it's the last ale in the world. Fab!!!

I really like this pub. The food is superb. The beer top notch. The cleanliness of the cellar is second to none.This manifests itself in the great beer quality. I wish this was my local!!! It's also the Mallard Brewery Tap.

The landlord has rejuvenated this place. Effort has been made to source rarer beers from the Castle Rock list. The quality and condition of the beers is top notch. Well done Ralf.
