The Sparrow, Bradford

Beer range and quality is excellent but it isn't as interesting or comfy as many of the other nearby real ale pubs and it's more expensive as well. In most cities it would be a treasure but for me there are better options in Bradford - try the City Gent next door.

Haigy's, Manningham

I have gone off this place a bit recently. Not as friendly as some of the other real ale haunts in the neighbourhood (e.g. Beehive, Castle, City Gent, Jacobs) and the ale range seems to veer to only have lower alcohol choices (normally nothing > 4.5%).

The New Beehive Inn, Bradford

Wonderfully atmospheric and interesting pub although the ale range can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. Like so many pubs around here it tends to be very quiet. I don't know how so many good pubs with good beer ranges can keep going around Bradford.

The Castle Hotel, Bradford

Scruffy with a somewhat ragtag clientele and also very quiet whenever I have been there but somehow it works for me. Beer range can be limited away from weekends but normally something that appeals.
