Great place, Nice food, nice people, staff seem to be on the ball, lovely garden for the summer jimscoresby - 6 May 2008 14:28
Still a pub good enough for an evenings drinking and also pleasant enough to bring the family to. Great for sport, so avoid on sports afternoons if you want a seat. However the main reason we used to go there at lunchtimes has changed - their magnificent burgers. Some time ago they changed from what was surely hand-made fresh mince mix cooked to your liking to what I can only assume are now pre-packaged or frozen in some way. Still taste good but just not in the same league as the used to be. They've also stopped letting you ask them cooked rare citing 'health and safety rules' but what other logical reason could there be for only allowing them to be cooked medium or well done other than they've probably been frozen or packaged at some point? waldopepper - 8 Apr 2008 14:40
The bar area could do with a spruce up but overall the food is really good and most of the staff are friendly. I have been a few times in past couple of months and really enjoyed. gastropubs - 14 Dec 2007 17:30
Pub is not bad - garden is okay for smokers. Food in pub is so so. Food in the Auberge excellent but hideously expensive Maggie_Tul - 5 Dec 2007 15:07
This is a very good pub, now stocking plenty of decent beers, it's not a pub for kids that honour goes to the Teddington Arms furhter up the road. The King's Head serve a decent pint and good pub grub, the beer garden is great in summer, children and dogs welcome. A few regulars tend to congregate around the tall tables near the bar, but why shouldn't they if thye are regulars. This closely followed by the Adelaide is the best pub in Teddington. lastrequestgringo - 31 Oct 2007 13:48
