There is a great vintage market/jumble sale here every last Saturday of the month. It's called 'Can't Buy Me Love" , this is the website for it: http://cant-buy-me-love.com/ . The pub hosts a mix of stalls selling vintage clothes, bric-a-brac, books, records, jumble and cakes. There are DJ's playing soul and rock & roll. It's free entry 12:30pm - 5:30pm.

Best Guinness I have had in London, excellent jukebox and a proper meeting point between real London and real Ireland. Anyone who thinks this is a pretentious pub is probably pretentious themselves. This is a pub that will you make what you want of it and yourselves. And again the Arthur was magnificent, even if the younger barmaid couldn't quite get it perfect.

I had a fantastic night at the Boogaloo last night (Saturday) In stark contrast to the reviews that I had read, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the bar staff were chatty and extremely friendly. The music early doors was provided by an impressive 'happy days' style Juke box - It blasted out obscure rock n' roll and northern soul which got us nicely warmed up for the DJ who came later with a similar style - just more upbeat.

Yes, we did get moved twice by the seating police and I can see how that can be annoying - but when they explained that it was to do with fire regs and allowing people to get through to the bar, I thought that it was fair enough!

all in all, a great alternative night out!
