Went to this place the other day and first impression was "what the hell is that stink?". I suppose smoking in pubs was good as it masked the horrific odours of students and tourists. If I had farted it would have made the place smell better.

Nice. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Cheers to the barman from Stockport and the Sudoku champion sat in the corner. I don't remember seeing many tourists which is a plus. Didn't see anything that even resembled a theiving little tinker.

It really is your responsibility to look after your own possessions.

watch your back in this dive -- I arrived fresh off the plane with my backpack full of personal property and ignorant of the reputation for theft. The apparent good cheer of the staff and crowd masks a blatant disregard for your suffering when your cellphone, wallet, passport, medications, and every bit of cash, credit and identification disappears from UNDER YOUR JACKET hung on the back of your chair. I ditto the guy who says wheres the CCTV and security.

Pricy but pleasant enough Soho pub, though I wouldn't want to go there on a Friday night. Fit barmaids!
