I cannot believe that this pub is now shut and planning permission has been put in for flats. This was a lovely pub - wood panelled with a airy upstairs room and a sweet little beer garden. Was rammed on Thursdays and Fridays. Clearly there have been some problems with beer quality over the years, and for a free house the choice of beers was perhaps unimaginative, but pizzas were great (and popular). As
someone who is currently looking for a pub to operate, I would have been delighted to have taken this one on. Hoping that change of use permission will be denied by Camden Council and the Victoria will rise again, because the current state of affairs is pretty heartbreaking.

An absolute tradegy that this place closed!

Closed as at June 23rd 2013 and photographed boarded up July 2nd 2013. It was a good little boozer and I enjoyed a couple of pints there only a few weeks before then.

Nice boozer. Very welcoming and friendly and a great spot to sit outside(front or back) in the summer. Very well presented and looked after(with realy attractive hanging baskets) Dukebox is excellent too. Gets very busy on a Friday due to the Crescent cigarette factory office staff but go any other time and it's a proper back street friendly locals NW1 pub.

Wish I'd read below before I ordered a pint of Bombardier which proved to be undrinkable. Worst pint I've been served in London. Shame, as it's quite a nice place otherwise.
