| A basic, no frills boozer located towards the top of Church Road. It a single room, U-shape pub with the bar in the middle. To the left of the bar is some old bench seating and a scattering of tables and chairs elsewhere. There were several fruit machines, quiz machines, etc. dotted around, and a plasma in one corner near the door although the volume was turned down on this. There was a further area at the back of the pub, although this was in darkness so I didn’t explore it. It was very quiet on a recent Saturday evening, with only about half a dozen other punters in there at 9:00pm. The solitary barmaid was busy texting but stopped promptly enough to serve us. A little background music would probably have added to the atmosphere, it was mostly either too quiet or too noisy (when something had been put on the jukebox). | As a yocal, this pub is a godsend. Normal people who want to have a beer and a laugh. Don't expect the best decor or toilet paper, but the Karaoke is a giggle. So, expect a bit of a 'Trash'y pub and you won't be dissapointed. Bar staff are great and if you're particularly liked, one of the girls might even take you home, despite your marital status!!
