Although this Pub looks quite decent on the surface, after a few minutes you come to realise the place is a pit. Flooded toilets, indifferent bar staff, scary regulars and a £5 deposit to play pool. Security staff came on at 7pm the Saturday I was there, I can only assume to keep the nutters in. Sadly this pub is indicative of all the places on Kilburn High Rd now. emlagh - 24 Jul 2011 11:03
Crap service and average beer, though I still quite like it for some reason. There's a theatre upstairs if you're into that kind of thing. MX7 - 24 Jul 2010 17:40
Never, ever buy food here. I got a BLT and it was absolutely shocking - two slices of thin white processed sliced bread cut into triangles, heavily spread with margerine, and when I looked inside half of the already small portion of badly cooked bacon was fat and there were only one or two pieces of tomato throughout the whole thing. It's the worst sandwich I have ever had the misfortune to be presented with. How anybody can make such a hash of cooking some bacon is completely beyond me, and my boyfriend's opinion of the pad thai that he got was that it was 'a bit strange'. Added to this, we had to wait for quite a while for it because the barmaid came over and told us that she'd lost the chef. Fine for a pint and a game of pool if you get the table that has a cue ball instead of the other one where we had to use spare yellow pool balls scribbled on in felt tip, but I repeat, don't buy food here. catfitz - 10 Apr 2010 12:34
This place has plasma screens throughout, but they were all off at 16:45 last Saturday afternoon which I found a bit strange. There are also a couple of pool tables at the rear. The barmaid was waiting for a barrel to be changed, but instead of serving me she stood at the bar talking to the local that was waiting for his Fosters to appear. Whilst standing there scratching my head I spotted a couple of hand pumps but only Greene King IPA was on as the other pump was unused. It took a good couple of minutes for me to get cheesed off enough to leave without buying a drink and I’ll not be returning. Strongers - 23 Nov 2009 13:08
An ok pub, very much the Kilburn sort of mix but despite there being no beer at time of visit (there is usually) it was friendly enough and reasonably comfortable. rainlight - 14 Feb 2009 09:34
