A great pub to escape from the townie rabble, good music and beer. It has great character, a walm welcoming atmosphere. Staff are friendly, feels like a second home.

We stepped in here to get out of the cold and to have a pint...it felt more like a tea room than a pub. The Sunday crowd certainly had their pinkies in the air as they sipped from their cups. We left as soon as we'd drained our glasses. Not quite what I'd have expected given the location.

Best beer I drunk allday in Nottingham. The Everards Tiger was stripe/spot on and the the Derby Porter wasnt far off.....The pubs like a well kept antique shop with some- very good-croaky French tunes on when I was in there...Well worth a check.

Good food, good beer, good wine selection and the landlady has plenty of advice on which wines are good/bad. Very relaxed place but when the kitchen staff turn on the dishwasher one of the rooms actually vibrates!!
